Overview

Welcome to the Civil Engineering Department of KMPTC. It was established in the year 2004 and is one of the oldest departments in the poly. Over the years, the department has cultivated young minds to create brilliant capable civil engineers.

The Department robustly encourages curriculum development activity by updating existing teaching methods and preparing resource material for teaching. It carries out industrial consultancy works as a part of its dealings with industry and also organizes seminars/symposium for proficient interaction. The Department contributes to the interdisciplinary academic and research activity of the poly.

Course Highlights

The department has expertise in almost the entire spectrum of civil engineering, offering knowledge to students in Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, surveying, Estimating and Costing, Advanced Construction Technology and Town Planning.

Many of our faculties and students are involved in research activities in various areas of civil engineering. The department is also very active in conducting conferences, workshops, short term seminars etc. The department has been constantly involved in a range of consultancy projects.
